Project description:
The New Wear Crossing is a crossing over the River Wear in Sunderland, North East England. It is a three span cable-stayed bridge 336 meters in length with a 105m A-frame pylon. The Bridge has two lanes of traffic in both directions, as well as dedicated cycle-ways and footpaths along it's full length.
We were contracted to carry out all concrete works including precast placement and insitu works. This project had over 10,000 meters cubed of concrete and over 1500 tonnes of reinforcing steel.
